Apparently Cat Cora rear ended another car and then could not pass the sobriety test that officers gave her. At 45 years old Cora is old enough to know better, and the accident occurred on June 17 shortly after 6 p.m. After Cora crashed into the other vehicle the driver of that vehicle told the responding officer that he suspected Cat Cora was under the influence of alcohol. When the officer interviewed Cora he reported that she displayed alcohol intoxication symptoms and made a determination that she was impaired and should not be driving.
Cat Cora admitted to the police officer that she consumed 3 bottles of beer before getting into her vehicle. Two different Breathalyzer tests were administered, as well as a blood test for a blood level reading. The Breathalyzer tests showed 0.19 and 0.20, and the legal limit is 0.08. The blood sample that Cat Cora provided had a result of 0.19. The officer issued a citation to Cat Cora, and then she went for sobering treatment at a substance abuse treatment center. Cora was very regretful and apologetic for the incident. Cora released this statement “I deeply regret my decision to drive that evening after my designated driver became unavailable. I learned a very important lesson from this experience and take full accountability for my actions. This will never happen again.”
