The before and after pictures of Jael are a very powerful statement showing the ravages of meth addiction and just how destructive this drug can be. Unfortunately an intervention will not give Jael Strauss back the incredible beauty that she once had before an addiction to methamphetamine stole her looks away, but it may keep her from dying of an overdose in the near future. The intervention may be just the motivation that she needs to help her get back on track and finally kick the meth addiction once and for all. A Methamphetamine addiction can cause the user to lose everything, and Jael is a case study in this fact. Hopefully Dr. Phil and the family of the once promising young star can make her see just how meth is destroying her and those who love her. The ideal ending to this episode will show Jael accept treatment and be sincere about wanting help for her substance abuse before it is too late and she ends up dead of an overdose like so many other promising young adults today.
