Teen Mom reality star Amber Portwood can not seem to stay out of trouble and behave properly. Substance abuse testing is the reason why Portwood is in jail again, and she was caught lying to the court about why she missed the drug test appointment. The initial charge that led to her probation term was felony domestic battery, and the court believed that mandatory substance abuse testing was warranted. In December of 2011 Portwood was arrested for violating probation but she entered into a plea deal that allowed her to stay out of jail. According to sources Amber could spend a week or two in jail before she is released this time. Whether she engaged in substance abuse and this was the reason for missing the court ordered substance abuse test appointment is not known yet.
When Amber Portwood contacted the court to explain why she would not be at the court ordered substance abuse testing she lied. According to the prosecutor Portwood stated that she had recently had laparoscopic gallbladder surgery and that she was on physician ordered bed rest for between 2 and 3 weeks. Apparently Amber did not expect the prosecutor to contact the physician to verify her explanation but that is exactly what happened. The physician busted Portwood out and explained that Amber could attend the substance abuse testing and was not ordered to stay in bed. After this was uncovered then Amber Portwood was taken into custody on a probation violation. One thing is certain, while she is in jail Portwood will have no excuse not to take part in any ordered substance abuse testing.
