Sage Stallone, son of the well known actor Sylvester Stallone, was recently found dead at his home and police report that there were some prescription medication bottles located near the body. The toxicology report is not back yet, and this will determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role in Sage’s death or not. The autopsy did not reveal any reason for the death, and no serious medical conditions or problems were found. Sage appeared in the Rocky 5 movie where he played the son of the character Rocky Balboa, who is played by Sage’s real father Sylvester Stallone. News of his death hit the entire Stallone family hard, and there are conflicting reports on whether Sage Stallone had a substance abuse problem or not.
The lawyer who represented Sage Stallone before his death has publicly stated that Sage did not have any substance abuse problems, and has even said that Sage Stallone did not drink. The empty beer bottles which were found near Sage’s body, together with the number and size of prescription medication bottles and recent reports from individuals who saw Sage under the influence of something, have caused the police to suspect an accidental overdose. One individual described interviewing Sage and said it was apparent that the actor was high on something. Maybe the lawyer is trying to protect the reputation of Sage Stallone, but an earlier intervention and substance abuse treatment would have been a much better option that may have saved the young actors life.
