Sorrentino checked into the Cirque Lodge rehabilitation center located in Utah a few weeks ago but did not stick it out to finish the program. Drug rehab was needed because Mike was abusing both prescription medications and alcohol, another reminder that substance abuse only gets worse until treatment is received. Dropping out of drug rehab may be an indication that “The Situation” is out of control and an intervention may be needed. Dropping out of treatment is common, for celebrities and normal people both, but this step usually ends up with another round of treatment being needed.
Many celebrities need drug rehab and alcohol treatment that works, but even with the large amounts of money and fame many celebrities end up battling addiction for life. Treatment is received, relapses occur, and more treatment follows. This merry go round is shown on television in shows such as Celebrity Rehab and others. The right drug rehab, one that provides individual attention and the most effective treatment methods possible, may still not be enough unless the client actually wants help. Drug rehab can not be effective unless the individual is willing to change, and it is apparent that Mike Sorrentino is not quite serious enough about drug rehab to finish the full course of treatment. Is he out of control? Not yet according to sources close to the star, but he could reach this point soon unless additional alcohol and drug rehab treatment is sought.
